Privacy
The short version: we collect as little as we can, we use it only to run Akyonis and to tell you about it, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to privacy@akyonis.com.

Who we are
Akyonis is run by Celia Felipe, in the Netherlands. You can reach us at privacy@akyonis.com about anything on this page.
If you join the waiting list
What we keep: your email address, and your name and business name if you give them.
Why: to tell you when the beta and the launch open. Nothing else. Every email has a link to stop them.
Where it goes: our database (Supabase, in Ireland) and our contacts list (Attio), which is where we keep track of the trainers we talk to.
How long: until you ask us to remove it, or 12 months after Akyonis launches if you have not signed up by then.
If you send us a message
What we keep: your name, your email address and your message, from the form on our Contact page.
Why: to read your message and reply to it. Nothing else. Sending a message does not add you to the waiting list or to any mailing list.
Where it goes: our database (Supabase, in Ireland), and a copy to our inbox, sent through our email service (Resend).
How long: 12 months after our last reply, unless you ask us to remove it sooner.
If we contacted you directly
We look for positive, force-free dog trainers on public websites and directories and write to some of them about Akyonis. If that is how you heard from us, we keep your name, business name, public contact details and website, plus notes of our conversation, in Attio.
We do this because it is a reasonable way for a small business to find the people it is built for, and the details are ones you have published for business enquiries. If you would rather not hear from us, reply to say so or write to privacy@akyonis.com, and we will remove you. We will not contact you again.
How long: two years after our last conversation, unless you ask us to remove you sooner.
If you use Akyonis
Akyonis is in a private beta. If you are a trainer using it:
Your account: your name, email address, business details and settings. We use them to run your account and to talk to you about it.
Your business records: your clients, their dogs, sessions, packages, classes, leads and invoices. These are yours. We store them so Akyonis works, and we use them for nothing else. The beta terms explain exactly what we do and do not do with them.
When you ask Kino something: your question, and the records Kino needs to answer it, are sent to OpenAI, which runs the AI model behind Kino. OpenAI does not use them to train its models. It may keep them for up to 30 days to check for abuse, then deletes them. Akyonis does not store your conversations with Kino.
If you connect Google Calendar: Akyonis reads when you are busy, so it does not suggest times that clash, and adds your sessions and classes to the calendar you choose. It does not read the details of your other events. Akyonis’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect at any time from Settings.
When you leave: you can ask for a copy of your data and for your account to be deleted. We delete it within 30 days of your request. Backups roll over and are gone 30 days after that. Invoices you have issued are your records to keep: export them before you leave.
Who sees it: we only look at it when you ask for help, or when we need to fix a problem that affects your account.
If you are a client of a trainer who uses Akyonis
Your trainer keeps your details, your dog’s details and your bookings in Akyonis. Your trainer decides what is kept and why; Akyonis stores it for them and uses it for nothing else. Akyonis also sends you booking emails and calendar invitations on your trainer’s behalf.
To see, change or delete your details, ask your trainer. If you cannot reach them, write to privacy@akyonis.com and we will help.
The services we use
We use a few other companies to run Akyonis. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job.
| Service | What it does for us |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and sign-in |
| Vercel | Runs the website and the app |
| Resend | Sends emails |
| Sentry | Tells us when something breaks |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Checks sign-ins come from people, not bots |
| Calendar, if you connect it; website analytics, if you accept them | |
| OpenAI | The AI model behind Kino |
| Attio | Our contacts list |
Your data is stored in Ireland, and the app runs there too. Some of these companies, such as Google and OpenAI, are based outside the European Union. They are covered by the EU’s approved safeguards for sending data abroad (the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses).
We never sell your data, and we never share it for advertising.
Cookies
We use cookies that the site needs to work, like keeping you signed in. With your permission we also use Google Analytics, which tells us how many people visit and which pages they read. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we have about you, correct it, delete it, send you a copy, or stop using it. Write to privacy@akyonis.com and we will reply within a month, usually much sooner.
If you are not happy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we will email the people it affects before the change applies. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
